What was the highlight of Dreamland Maldives Resort
Overall a great vacation for us and a memorable time here in dreamland
1.Loved all the staffs in the restaurants and room service. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Love you guys - Sadin, Yasin, Zaeen, Mohammed, Ahmed (I did not spell their names properly, sorry!!!) were all great!!! 2.Food was very good. had a lot of choices. Breakfast was the same almost all the morning but lunch and dinner had more options and variety. 3. Rooms were awesome. I stayed in an ocean bungalow and it was a great experience. See thru coffee table was a great addition 4. They decorated our dinner table and our rooms for my husband's birthday. So, thankful for them! 5. Live corals and sea life was colorful
1. Front desk did not explain on the domestic transfer. We need to take a local flight within Maldives(from Male to Dharavandhoo) and then a speed boat which took almost 4 and a 1/2 hours. Instead I would have taken a seaplane which is only 45 mins. So, the domestic transfer took more time. If they have explained us the options then I would have paid them to take the seaplane to the resort. 2. Also, the front desk had a poker face (not so welcoming face) and could not fulfill a lot of our requests - additional trips, special dinner 3. In our speed boat transfer, they kept our luggages outside the boat where it rained heavily and most of our clothes were wet. 4. Need more drink options in "ALL INCLUSIVE" package

„Ideal für eine Woche
Die Auswahl am Buffet ist gut und auf das deutsche Publikum zugeschnitten. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer und die Auswahl an Teesorten. Freundlichkeit des Restaurantpersonals und der Zimmerboys. Der Strand wurde morgens von einem Trupp Mitarbeiter penibel von Treibgut befreit. Die Insel mit seinen eingewachsenen Mangroven und Palmen. Die angelegte Lagune mit dem Badeteich, Seerosen und den angrenzenden Gebäuden. Trotz der toten Korallen hat man eine schöne Vielfalt an Fischen und Riffhaien, Wir sahen sogar Delphine und Eagle rays. Die Ausflüge zur Hanifaru Bay gehörten zu den Highlights. Wir waren glücklich, viele Mantas zu sehen, die auf Armeslänge unter uns hertauchten.
Die Rezeption war mit Mitarbeitern besetzt, die jede Anfrage abzuwehren versuchten. Einige wurden weitergereicht, blieben jedoch unbeantwortet, z.B. die Bitte um ein weicheres Kopfkissen, die Frage nach Flugverbindungen etc. Das "Highsped" mit geringer Übertragungsrate und ständigen Abbrüchen. Trotz Ausräucherns gibt es eine Moskitoplage. Die Kakerlaken in meiner leeren Kaffetasse auf der Terrasse. Die Einrichtung ist funktional aber kalt. Sie sprach mich nicht an, denn es wurden auf sämtliche dekorativen Elemente verzichtet, z.B. Blumen, Düfte, bunte Polster etc So waren Rezeption und Restaurants in einem langweiligen monochromen Sand-Beige gehalten statt einmal Akzente zu setzen. Die ewig gleiche CD bei den Mahlzeiten nervte. Entweder war es die Lautstärke oder die penetrant gleichen Rumbaklänge. Warum nicht einfach mal das Meer rauschen hören? Der Instant Kaffee war gruselig, selbst mit Milch. Das Riff regeneriert sich von der Zerstörung 2015. Dennoch sind geschätzt 60-80% der Korallen tot. Das nahe Kihaa dagegen ist intakt doch nur über einen Ausflug mit Boot zu besuchen. Den Turtle Trip kann man sich sparen. Kein schönes Riff

„Schönes Resort mit tollem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!
Das Resort ist sehr schön, hat tolle Strände und der Teich in der Mitte ist einzigartigt. Die Wasserbungalows mit der Außendusche sind toll, sehr geräumig und auch das Badezimmer innen ist riesig und bietet genug Abstellflächen. Adapter für die Steckdosen sind ebenfalls vorhanden. Am hauseigenen Riff kann man viele Fische und sogar Riffhaie beobachten, das Ausflugsangebot ist klein aber gut, und das Wassersportcenter gut ausgestattet. Das Essen hat uns positiv überrascht, große Auswahl und qualitativ gut, auch die Weinauswahl ist durchaus ansehnlich (wenngleich die Weinkarte nicht den tatsächlichen Stand wiedergibt). Roomservice gibt es keinen, wobei wir nicht ganz eruieren konnten, ob das Corona-bedingt war. Das Personal ist insgesamt sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Es ist eines der wenigen Hotels, das Handtücher wirklich nur tauscht, wenn man sie auf den Boden wirft. Allerdings werden sie dabei kontinuierlich weniger, d.h. für drei bekommt man zwei zurück, für zwei eines... je kleiner das Handtuch, desto eher ist es weg. Allerdings bekommt man auf Nachfrage sofort weitere Badetücher, ist also kein echtes Problem. Der Transfer zurück wurde eine Zitterpartie... Wir sollten 3 Stunden vor Abflug das Resort verlassen und da mir das etwas knapp vorkam, habe ich nachgefragt. Mir wurde versichert, wir wären problemlos ca. zwei Stunden vor Abflug am Flughafen. Tatsächlich sind wir erst etwas mehr als zwei Stunden vor Abflug überhaupt ins Wasserflugzeug gestiegen und bis wir letzten Endes beim CheckIn am Flughafen waren (wo derzeit durch die Covid- Kontrollen auch alles länger dauert) hätten wir eigentlich schon fast beim Boarding sein sollen. Durch das am Flughafen aber ohnehin herrschende Chaos war der Flug verspätet, sodass im Endeffekt alles gut ging. Aber unter "normalen Umständen" hätten wir unseren Rückflug wohl verpasst.
